Product Description

Phenolic material is a composite material produced when layers of fabric are coated with phenolic resin, heated, and put under high pressure. The phenolic resin consists of formaldehyde and phenol, which are bonded together into large molecules.
A phenolic board is a sheet manufactured from phenolic resin and cellulose sheets pressed at a very high temperature and pressure, creating a highly resistant and versatile material that can be used in a range of construction and furniture manufacturing settings.
Phenolic resin is a compound that combines phenol and formaldehyde, creating large networks of permanently bonded molecules. Depending on the balance between phenol and formaldehyde, and whether the catalyst is an acid or a base, the phenol formaldehyde resin properties vary.
Phenolic plywood is made of multiple layers of paper impregnated with phenolic resin, an extremely resistant synthetic material. These layers are bonded together with adhesive and subjected to pressure and heat to create a rigid, durable sheet.
Phenolic resin possesses excellent characteristics such as excellent heat and flame retardance, high strength, long-term thermal and mechanical stability, excellent electrical and thermal insulating properties, good chemical resistance, low water absorption.
