Product Description
A phenolic board is a sheet manufactured from phenolic resin and cellulose sheets pressed at a very high temperature and pressure, creating a highly resistant and versatile material that can be used in a range of construction and furniture manufacturing settings.
It is used in the construction of small cabins or cubicles for changing room, toilets, bathroom etc. It is also used in furniture making and construction of lockers used in changing rooms. It also used as partitions and as countertops for wash basin/sinks. This can also be used for façade cladding.
Phenolic plywood is made of multiple layers of paper impregnated with phenolic resin, an extremely resistant synthetic material. These layers are bonded together with adhesive and subjected to pressure and heat to create a rigid, durable sheet.
Phenolic resin possesses excellent characteristics such as excellent heat and flame retardance, high strength, long-term thermal and mechanical stability, excellent electrical and thermal insulating properties, good chemical resistance, low water absorption, and excellent cost-performance characteristics.
Phenolic resin is a compound that combines phenol and formaldehyde, creating large networks of permanently bonded molecules. Depending on the balance between phenol and formaldehyde, and whether the catalyst is an acid or a base, the phenol formaldehyde resin properties vary.
