What is a joint pin in scaffolding?
Joint pins are a fundamental component for constructing safe and stable scaffolding structures. These robust pins are designed for 48.3mm scaffold tubes and facilitate easy connection of tubes either horizontally or vertically.
|
How do you use a joint pin?
The pin is inserted through one part and projects beyond it to support the other part. Straddle mount joints are used to connect two parts that are parallel to each other, such as two shafts or two plates. The pin is inserted through both parts and is supported by bearings or bushings at both ends.

Joint Pin is used for joining two tubes in the scaffolding fittings |
When must scaffold frames be pinned?
Frames and panels shall be joined together vertically by coupling or stacking pins or equivalent means. Where uplift can occur which would displace scaffold end frames or panels, the frames or panels shall be locked together vertically by pins or equivalent means.
